Safer Globe Conservation Trust (SGCT) : Who We Are

Conceptualized in 2022 by a group of environmentalists in response to the growing concerns surrounding climate change and environmental conservation, The Organization for Safer Globe Conservation Trust is a registered indigenous Ugandan non-governmental organization committed to promoting sustainable environmental management practices among communities for the benefit of future generations. We work closely with communities, leaders, organizations, corporate entities, and the broader population to ensure that today’s actions lead to a healthier and more sustainable tomorrow.
Our efforts focus on raising awareness, supporting vulnerable groups particularly those marginalized or living in ecologically sensitive areas, and communities affected by high levels of industrialization, biomass, and biofuel dependence.

Our Vision

A thriving, biodiverse Uganda where communities live in harmony with nature through sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.

Our Mission

To empower communities through environmentally sustainable approaches that promote resilience to climate change among vulnerable groups.

Why Work with The Organization for Safer Globe Conservation Trust?

GROUNDED IN COMMUNITY-CENTERED ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS:

SGCT partners directly with vulnerable and at-risk communities to promote sustainable, science based environmental practices. From clean energy access to reforestation and sustainable agriculture, their grassroots approach ensures long-term impact.

PROVEN IMPACT ACROSS MULTIPLE SECTORS:

The Trust actively delivers results in biodiversity conservation, renewable energy adoption, climate smart agriculture, environmental education, and girls health. Their diverse, integrated programs are already transforming lives across districts in Uganda.

STRONG PARTNERSHIPS AND INSTITUTIONAL NETWORKS:

SGCT works with government agencies, civil society coalitions, schools, and international partners like the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC). These collaborations amplify their reach, accountability, and policy influence essential for sustainable development.

Our efforts focus on raising awareness, supporting vulnerable groups particularly those marginalized or living in ecologically sensitive areas, and communities affected by high levels of industrialization, biomass, and biofuel dependence. We provide alternative, science-based solutions that reduce harmful environmental practices and encourage sustainability at the grassroots level.
